Nurturing the Rising Marketer: A New Blog Series

The 2026 class of Endicott College graduates walked across the stage last Saturday. For the past seven years, these young people have taught me, inspired me, made me laugh, and challenged me. I’ve watched them grow in the classroom, on the playing fields, and on the ice. And while I feel a surge of freedom when I click the button to submit my final grades (YES!), about a week later I begin to reflect upon what went well and what didn’t go so well that semester. After another week or so, my mind begins to open. I once again begin the creative process of shaping my curriculum for the new semester, the new courses ahead. And often this thoughtful time leads me to writing.

This blog series, Nurturing the Rising Marketer, will explore teaching undergraduates marketing and managing rising professionals in the field. I’ve managed people for over a decade now and I have many stories from those experiences too! I hope what I share in the coming posts will be valuable to you – the educator, the manager, the people leader in the field. Or perhaps I should say – the people in the woods! We are all looking for a pathway in life and some of our best work, in my eyes, is to help others find theirs.
